just to help you to make ur way here, when u are ar sengkang mrt, just transfer to LRT, take the Red line (west Loop) from the LRT station. check for the correct platform to board. quite easy to get lost there but i am sure hwa chong ppl shd have no prob reading signboard.

my place dont have much food, i guess i just have some cakes and drinks, anyone feel free to bring and add to the list for food/games.

hey guys, the jan people will be having their birthdays next week, so we're hoping to have the celebration then. what would you all like to do so that we can relax, bond, and forget the trauma of having to copy 24 pages of the bio syllabus?

here are some of the suggestions made yesterday:
-going out to eat as a class during CT on wed
-games
-stop mugging
-read out a eulogy-like thing for your friends (who are still alive)
-laser tag/sing birthday song before every class/go to the library to mug together

Every C1 students are required to clock at least 12 cip hrs within 2 years in college, regardless of the permutation of the number of cip hrs in 2008 and 2009. now is the final class outing of ... well, not this year, but before school starts next year- the long awaited class chalet !

venue: Aloha Loyang Sea View Bungalow

date: 5 Jan 2009 (Monday) to 7 Jan 2009 (wednesday)

thats the mon-wed before school starts, and gives you sufficient time to chiong whatever undone homework there is after that.

we really, really hope everyone can come. (okay, the last time we said that, only a miserable 10 people turned up for class dinner at marche... hmm.) simply because... more people= each person pays less. the chalet is $260 a night. so if everyone comes, it's $10/person/night. we HOPE the chalet can last two nights, but it'll really depend on attendance.

it'll be a really good time for the class to (may i add 'finally') bond, and destress before next year. we promise a whole lineup of interesting activities (:

so if you can come, find some way to tell chit/yuxi. and to confirm that you all are coming, you all will have to pay first, after we finalise how many people are going- and this is really urgent. please tell us asap, cos otherwise, we may not be able to book the chalets.

we promise it'll be loads of fun! see you there!

Monday will be the long awaited FOS! :D

It’s a requirement to wear our faculty shirt during the games, but I also suggest that you bring a spare set of shirt in case you are very sweaty and smelly after the game .
We need to assemble by 8.30am at our respective game venue; there will be a 5min allowance if a team is late to report for a game.
After the 5min allowance, the teacher may decide to disqualify the team that did not appear for the game. It is the discretion of the PE teacher to do this.

Below is a brief summary of the Venue of the Games 70ers are participating in

3. Frisbee (College Field).

I am sure that our class will earn lots of medals for ares! :D

For netball I really don’t understand the schedule but I guess it’s from 1010 to 1020; I am really really not sure so can someone please correct me or tell me the exact time for us to go support the netballers

So by looking at the time slots, the netballers and frisbeers can go support floorballers 1st, then after the floorballers won, the netballers and floorballers can go and support the frisbeers, and after the frisbeers won, the frisbeers and floorballers can go watch the netballers win 

I don’t have the official details of participants with me but this are the people who should be playing for the respective games, please forgive me if I get the details wrong; they are just for reference so that you have a main idea of who you will be looking at during the game.

hello guys, long time no c =D!!! (though we just met during gems last thurs)

the blog hav been pretty dead ever since term 2 so yea its good for me to update it once in a while
anw, we all hav been pretty bz with our acads these past few days and well, i am also working hard for my blocks too haha

hm u know, i was studying proteins today and i didnt know why i suddenly ended up sketching kungfu panda

in case u dont know, kungfu panda is a dreamworks movie production depicting a story of how Po(panda), a son of a goose went on his path to kungfu achieve greatness and become the Legendary dragon warrior. this unlikely, clumsy and pot-bellied hero, training under the guru master shifu, endured many obstacles lessons and finally came to realize that "you just need to believe" to do anything.

well, i dont see much relevance between the kungfu panda and blocks and i certainly believe that just by believing, it is unbelievable for me to achieve unbelievably good results especially when i should be believing what is written in my bio notes instead of believing that writing in this post helps me to believe that i will see brightness in my near future.

however, i do believe that with hard work, determination, and a little bit of belief, i will most likely not flung my tests as badly as i usually do.

so to prevent myself from setting unachievable and unbelievable targets and ending up building castles in the air on how well i will get for blocks, i dumped the "DREAM" from "DREAMWORKS". lolz

yea, blocks is coming and this is a blooodyy reality so i should stop digressing now haha.

anw, hope u guys enjoy GEMS last thurs. i am really sorry for not informing u guys about the change in venue early and i hav caused much inconvenience to some of you guys. i thought that the change in venue would be a rather pleasant surprise but i did not take into consideration that you guys need to inform yr parents of yr whereabouts sometimes. i am really, really apologetic for that so i hope u guys can forgive me and the next time round, i will definitely inform you guys about the actual venue.

john will most likely be posting Ms Kong's wedding photos and GEMS' photos soon so for those who missed out these class gatherings, you will still get some sneak previews of what actually happened! thanks for giving yr support for the class outings anw and all the best for yr blocks.

u know, in the worst case scenario that we cant find any suitable activity with sufficient vacancy u guys can come down to my house to learn how to make tangyuan/almonds. i think its possible to convince my mum to teach us since shes very nice to outsiders.

after much considerations, we have decided that GEMS shouldnt be held on the 6th cuz there are 8 people who cant attend, compared to the 4 or 5 people who can make it on the 9th or 14th

For PW on Thursday, each grouup will have to:

ok guys, these are directions on how to get to stj place thingamagig from school. Cross over to NY side then take buses 74,852,156 (not recommended, it takes abit of time and there's always the chance that THAT GUY might get on, you should know what i mean), 157. Get off at macrichie (however the hell you spell it, but get off at the one with two bus stops). From the back bus stop (cant think of a better weay to put it, but the one that 74 stops at) take 980, 855, 165,166,132. Take the bus for a short journey and get off at the stop AFTER long house food center.

Now for directions to get there from Bishan MRT. From MRT walk over to the bus interchange, look for the one that 410 and 52 leaves from. Take 410 (white) or 52, all the way until you pass thomson plaza (its on the other side of the road, but DONT get off at the stop opposite thomson plaza) then get off. You'll have to cross the road from there and continue walking in the direction of long house (same direction the bus was moving)

When you get to the row of shop houses, look for pink (shudders)...

If you get lost or are clueless, wait for me at thomson plaza or something, i live opposite and i'll probably be walking there at about 6.30, so i can meet you there and bring you along.

Hey guys,I finally decided to upload my phone pics to the Photobucket...so here goes..

First up, we have peiyit staring DEEPLY into someone's eyes....hmm. (taken before the ares CIP)

and we have various people playing tennis with a potato (from bio prac)
Does anyone remember that game from 02? Involving people wearing caps? (py doesn't like the camera)
Also, I have a photo of erm..bears. (ignore marcus) Spot the similarities, anyone? (david, this is for all the horribly bad/ lame jokes, haha. )
and lastly, just so you guys can guess who I am(without looking at the tagboard)...presenting......

Yoz every1, its Good Friday!

some of the high sch guys were bz receiving prizes so here are some updates about yesterday's CIP event =D

i am not so much of a good story teller but here i go with the CIP chronicle XD

i woke up slightly later than usual on thursday
and realize that i was supposed to reach serene centre mac b4 7
there was a light jam in the morning and when i alight at the busstop b4 serene centre it was already 6.57
i didnt want to be late so i began running

when i reach there

i was the earliest

awhile later, yingmin and carmen arrived followed by chit and then the rest of the s70 ppl
while eating our breakfast

i drew some cool pictures that my little brother taught

after our meals we went back to the CT bench and to the SALT centre at around 830++
we took a school bus to somewhere around jurong west where we began setting up our stall

zijia, yuxi and yanjun began decorating the flour balloons

with smilies

the OAC children began tying up the long sticks to form a structure (ty peipei, yihui, sharlene, jinlong, carmen and marcus!)

our imba structure [together with the imba boards that (benita, carmen, chit, jess and resh) made)]

hi angela. lol

as you can see, our business was the briskest

the kids love us
and our prizes too =) (if u notice, in both photos the class beside us was swiping flies, while our stall was always occupied with long queues)

don't worry, currently they're still single

while everyone were pia-ing with the kids, yuxi and i decided to put our artistic and facultilistic inspirations to good use

soon, we realize that our stall is running out of prizes

According to principles of economics, we lowered the number of points per throw and increase the requirements for the prizes. forgive me for the terms i used; i usually flung econs

nevertheless, the kids continued streaming in

btw, there is no economics' classes in kindergarden

the kids became pro-er as the game progressed

as a result, people who rested behind the game's board got

when we finally ran out of prizes
carmen and i started drawing portraits of children

i became a con-man
carmen became conmen

at around 1 / 2 pm, we were told to close down our stall

if u still havent realize, our game stall's called

welcome to teletub's world! =DD

peiyit who ran out of activities decided to pole-vault

jinlong and i tried to break peiyit's neck to kill off our boredom

clars came along to do the finishing blow

peipei's blood spurted onto a passerby

THIS IS A MODERNBOY'S WAIST POWER!

despite giving out all i'have got, peiyit still pwned me flat

to end off

okay i hopelessly bored so here i am. first post on the first ct outing! (heh. on a sidenote, PO!: Omg tmr is the last day of blogging comp!)

and im editing. (guess who i am. hint: soya bean lame joke XD)

story-telling here we go.

IT WAS A BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY. (why was this even taken...it was taken because i was so happy it was a bright and sunny day instead of rainy like the rest of the week) anyway good job activities i/cs, you all picked the only day of the week without rain. (yeah! thanks! actually the weather forecast said it would rain... but then again, sometimes the clouds looked like the ones below and we were afraid it would)

s70 went to the beach. and spent money.
(it was titled "chenchi's look of horror at the receipt. so yeah. and she kept going why must you pay $7.90 for a frisbee!)

After applying their sunblock,they went to celebrate birthdays.

While the girls were wasting energy trying to fly, (LOL! you have no appreciation for jumpshots)

the smarter people conserved energy.

(:] i actually have the picture though it's rather blur.. to sum it up, a few people tried to throw chenchi into the water, or at least it was what it appeared to us from the other shore :D note: blurred mass in the centre= about 3 people + 'victim' chenchi)

ok in other news, drawing competitions were held (artistic S70 sand drawings hahaha)

and soccer.

and sandcastle building (at least i think thats what they are doing)

and poison ball and volleyball (no pictures! =o oh our camwhores what were you all doing) pictures! (poison ball no pics cos everyone was playing haha)

ok, the class tee design is finally out!

tis is the template i drew...

this's the final piece.
srry for taking such a long time. tis may not be the best class tee design but i hope u guys are ok with it
oh yea, srry abt the level of resemblance for different people too. i am still quite amateurish so i wasnt capable of drawing everyone to look realistic. however, i hope u're able to identify yrself in the picture haha. i went full out for this design so hopefully u guys wont hav any strong objections to it!
ok now that the class tee is done i am going to reconstruct the class blog real soon.

btw, the class tee design is coming out very soon, srry for not reconstructing and updating the blog these few days but i hav been extremely occupied with makin out a nice tee design X(

hopefully the end result's nice
i will try my best to find time to reconstruct our blog (the skin, + some stuffs)
